Carla e Fabrizio Guarducci
Lorenzo de’ Medici Cooking School
Their school opened in Florence in 1973 to teach Italian language and culture to international students who wanted to immerse themselves in the lifestyle and culture of Italy. Carla Guarducci is convinced that theoretical learning must always be accompanied by practical activities, and it’s for this reason that at Lorenzo de’ Medici, education isn’t only limited to creating a recipe but stimulates a passion and curiosity for Mediterranean culture.
At Mercato Centrale, the school is open to a wider public ranging all ages and benefits from its professors’ extensive knowledge. The other artisans often collaborate as expert teachers, offering cooking classes and workshops and sharing their know-how and vast experience with the students.
The classes are designed to showcase a lifestyle dedicated to the flavour of food and value of human relationships, as well as conviviality, communication and diversity.
